I thought I’d take a few of the interesting things I came across today from around the Web, and put them in a blog post. Study: Email Deliverability Could Be Better
This recent study found that over 17% of “commercial, permission-based email” goes undelivered – no spam folder, no hard bounce, nothing. It just goes away. Gmail is most protective, blocking 23% of these emails from arrival. That’s a big percentage, and not one to take lightly if you are an email marketer. Read the full story.

Twitter has released a comprehensive guide for businesses looking to see what everybody’s talking about. This guide includes a lexcon of Twitter lingo, case studies of how other businesses are using Twitter, common strategies, and more. Definitety worth a read.
United Airlines Lose $180 Million Due to YouTube Video!
If you haven’t seen this yet, it’s the latest viral video to hit the Web. Apparently United Airlines broke this guy’s guitar and he spent a year trying to get them to pay for it. Then he wrote a song about his experience. 3.6 million views later, United is seriously regretting not giving him his money. It’s a funny video, but that’s not the only reason I’m linking to it here. It’s also a valuable lesson in Online Reputation Management, a lesson United learned the hard way so that you (hopefully) don’t have to.
